Share the goodness!

Eastern spirituality meets Western psychology.

Miguel shares what most struck him from this interview-style book on the Dalai Lama’s approach to happiness. From suffering, to kindness, to what living a spiritual life really means - he has some strong points worth considering.

Quote:

That is what I call basic spirituality - basic human qualities of goodness, kindness, compassion, caring. Whether we are believers or nonbelievers, this kind of spirituality is essential. I personally consider this second level of spirituality to be more important than the first (religious), because no matter how wonderful a particular religion may be, it will still only be accepted by a limited number of human beings, only a portion of humanity. But as long as we are human beings, members of the human family, all of us really need this basic spiritual values.
