    Heh, yeah, I also buy myself books online and have them come to the door in a nice brown cardboard box…..gifts are better when they’re what you want.

    I love books also - I’ve downloaded 78 this year alone. I know that many people say they can’t give up the feeling of turning the pages or holding the book; even the smell of a new book. But we need to be good citizens of the universe and think of what those books cost us not just in money but in resources. There are other ways to enjoy books - the Kindle, for example. And the joy of sitting down to read is what fills me. Plus, I can take it with me everywhere!!! and enjoy reading any time there is downtime!!! Just a thought.

    I’m seriously considering getting a Kindle this Xmas… one of the few objects I covet these days!
